San Pantaleo

San Pantaleo, an enchanting village in the heart of Costa Smeralda, known as “The Village of Artists” for its bohemian spirit, nestled in a granite landscape, stands on the granite massif of Cugnana, surrounded by nature that has maintained its wild appearance despite the nearby glamour of Costa Smeralda, which has been shining since the 1960s.

Established in the early 1800s around a country church dedicated to San Pantaleo, it has seen the growth of its low houses built according to the typical model of the Gallurese stazzo, among which small artisan shops and artist workshops open.

Don’t miss the famous and fascinating San Pantaleo Market, which takes place from May to October, every Thursday in the Church Square and in the surrounding alleys, attracting many visitors who dive into this great local treasure, rich in stalls with Sardinian crafts (exclusive products from local potters, blacksmiths, and skilled woodworkers), clothing, typical products, fruits and vegetables, and also antique objects closely related to Sardinian tradition.
